Teena Marie, Knows as "Ivory Queen of Soul" dies at 54.

LOS ANGELES - Teena Marie, the "Ivory Queen of Soul" who developed a lasting legacy with her silky soul pipes and with hits like "Lovergirl," "Square Biz," and "Fire and Desire" with mentor Rick James, died on Sunday. She was 54.
A statement from Pasadena police said the death appeared to be from natural causes. The police and fire department were called to her home after family members found her unresponsive.
In an interview with The Associated Press last year, Teena Marie said she had successfully battled an addiction to prescription drugs; she went on tour last year to support her last album, "Congo Square."

Well check out this year's MTV Video Music Awards coming on this Sunday, September 12th 2010 9/8C on MTV (check your local listings for channel number). There will be performances by Eminem, Drake, B.O.B., Paramore, Kanye West, Usher, Jason Derulo, Travie McCoy and more!

Lady Gaga broke record with being nominated for 13 nominations, not 8...13!!! (18 for her collaboration with Beyonce in the video Telephone). Other nominations are Eminem with 8, Beyonce with 5, B.O.B with 5, 30 Seconds to Mars and Florence and the Machine are both up for 4 nominations.
Chelsea Handler is going to host it for the night. So make sure you tune in for another great awards show to end this year's summer. With performances you don't want to miss and forget!

In August, D.J's Music Site wants to help "Stop the Violence, Chicago" after hearing about a 16 Year Old being killed and shot in the head twice, a 13 year old being killed and shot 22 times and turn around a few days later and a Man shot dead in the same area of Chicago. Please help us in ways we can stop the violences, Chicago. You can list some of your resolutions in how we can stop the Violences....
