UAPB Golden Lions took a win vs MVSU Delta Devils in Their Season Finale.

According to Mississippi Valley State website Mississippi Valley State had one of their best denfensive outings of the season this past Saturday against Arkansas Pine-Bluff, But it still didn't end in the Delta Devils favor.

The Goldens Lions which is (5-5, 4-4 SWAC) used 15 first-half points to take down MVSU which is (1-10, 1-8 SWAC) 15-3 in the season finale for Valley.

Arkansas Pine-Bluff defense forced to big turnovers in the first half leading to UAPB's taking a 15-0 going into intermission. The Golden Lions got on the score board in the first half using Benjamin Anderson 1-yard touchdown run and Stephen Jones punched ten yeards out giving  UAPB a 15 point advantage after a successful two point conversion.

"We knew going into the game that we would have to find a way to win on the road," said UAPB head coach Monte Coleman. "Mississippi Valley played hard the entire game and we feel forunate to be able to leave with a much need win."

The Golden Lions is set to return home this Saturday, November 19th, where they will face the Texas Southern Tigers in what will be UAPB's regular season finale. The game will mark Senior Day.

The game has also been announce as "Take a kid to the Game Day." All youth grade levels K-12 will be allowed free admission in the game with a paying adult. kickoff has been slated for 2:30 at Golden Lions Stadium located on the campus of Arkansas Pine-Bluff.
