UAPB's Hoopsquad Senior Savalace Townsend (in the picture above walking by the chairs) on Feb. 7th was nominated for the State Farm College "Dark Horse Competition".

The winner will participate in the Denny's Slam Dunk Competition at the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships in New Orleans March 29 on ESPN. Sixteen dunkers have been selected to compete in the "Dark Horse Dunker" Facebook bracket which is a four-week knockout competition.

Townsend caught national attention eyes after the amazing dunk which he brought the ball down the court and leaped over atleast three grambling players. Townsend is #23 on the Arkansas Pine-Bluff Golden Lion Basketball Team and he is completing against Jason Randle from Ashford in round one.
