The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Student Government Association along with some other students and organizations on campus are holding what they call an "March for Justice" in honor and support of Trayvon Martin who was a 17-year old African American that was shot and killed by George Zimmerman. Martin was walking from a convenience store to the home of his father's girlfriend when Zimmerman, a community watch captain, began following Martin while calling the Sanford Police Department to say he witneesed suspicious behavior, not very long afterward there was a physical altercation which Zimmerman fatally shot Martin.
The "March for Justice" will be held on the campus of University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff at 8pm on Thursday, March 29th 2012. Meet up location: HPER Arena Complex and then the march will head over to the Bell Tower in the middle of UAPB's campus. There will be speakers and possible talent acts at this march. All in attendance are ask to wear an hoodie and bring a candle. This will also make history as the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is the only HBCU in the state of Arkansas. This event is free and open to the entire community of Pine Bluff.
