It happened at 1:26pm, Saturday afternoon in Rontoul, Illinois as they were on their way to Chicago to perform.
Illinois State Police say the driver fell asleep at the time and drifted into the median. The bus was carrying 53 passengers.
Four people, including choir director Dr. Michael Bates, were transported to Carle and Provena Hospital, where they were treated and released.
The choir are on a nine-day spring concert tour to Chicago, Milwaukee and Detroit.
The choir is expected to perform today.
Police say the driver is identified as 74-year-old Bennie Askew of Grenade, Mississippi.
State Troopers say the driver was charged with improper lane usage and driving while fatigued.
The vehicle is a white 2001 Motor Coach Bus of Starlight Tours from Lexington, Mississippi.
