Noooo, the staff at D.J's Music Site were devasted when we heard that Grammy winning pop star Bruno Mars' mother Bernadette Hernandez has unexpectedly passed away!

She passed away in the middle of one of the highest points in his carrer, and as he currently on his Moonshine Jungle tour. The Moonshine Jungle tour is excepted to hit Chicago on July 13 at the United Center.

It has been reported that a rep from his label (Atlantic Records) has released a statement confirming her passing yesterday (Saturday, June 1st) but said only that she passed at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. His mother, a hula dancer and a singer who immigrated from the Philippines, nurtured her son's interest in music at an early age.

The Associated Press is reporting that she died of a brain aneurysm & she was only 55!

Very sad right? Our prayers, condolences & love are with Bruno and the entire Hernandez family.
