New York City woke up to the soulful sounds of John Legend. The R&B singer performed on Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series in Central Park on Friday. Legend perform his smash hit "Tonight (Best You Ever Had)" and his new single "Made For Love" off his upcoming album Love in the Future which drops September 3.
"I'm excited. It has been a while since I put a solo album out," he told Robin Roberts. "It was time for some new music, so we're ready to go."
His fiancée Chrissy Teigen has influenced his new sound. "I'm about to get married, so I just wanted to sing songs that reflect my life," said Legend.
Legend also announced dates for his "Made to Love" tour, which kicks off on October 21 in New York and wraps in December. See tour dates here.
