That the inimitable Kanye West and fellow Chicago rapper/Yeezus contributor/former alderman candidate Rhymefest plan on teaching at-risk kids in Chicago's Southside about beats, rhymes and life.

In conjunction with West's non-profit organization, Donda's House and St. Sabina Church, the two rappers will head Got Bars?, which is a free, 10-week program aimed at kids ages 15-24 to help and record their own music.

"Art instruction and particularly music instruction leads people to become better problem solvers, more flexible," Donda's House Executive Director Donnie Smith said in an interview with Chicago's WBEZ. "There are just so many outcomes that come from the study of music and particularly music writing."

At the end of the program, Donda's House plan to release an EP of the music the kids created. Pitchfork also reports that Donda's House eventually plan making this a nationwide program.

After-school programs aimed allowing kids to make their own music having already made some young kids rather famous. In Minneapolis, MN, a similar program called Beats and Rhymes produced the 2012 summer jam "Hot Cheetos and Takis" by the Y.N.RichKids.

Enrollment for Got Bars? is open until August 2nd and you can get more information about it on Donda's House website
