Yes, the Destiny's Child singer and X Factor Judge announced it to the world yesterday that she is engaged to her manager, Tim Witherspoon.
With weeks after it was rumored that the former Destiny's Child singer was engaged to her manager, Tim Witherspoon, Rowland confirmed the news during a visit to Queen Latifah's talk show on yesterday (Dec. 17th).
"He put a ring on it,"Rowland revealed before flashing the sparkling ring in the episode which aired on Wednesday. "Yes, it's official."
"It's been a while. We've kept our relationship very, very low --- for years, to be completely honest," she told he talk-show host of her low-profiled relationship with Witherspoon.
Rowland "surprised" her fans, just like Beyonce's secret album with the announcement.
So, how did he proposed, how did it goes down? Rowland was asked. "He asked me first on Skype," Rowland said. "And i was like, 'We're so far away from each other.I was in, like, Bulgaria somewhere. But it was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and I was just that simple to say 'yes.' I was like, I got my best friend to ride through life with.' He really is my best friend."
Rowland first promoted engagement speculation in early November after she was spotted wearing a sparkly ring in an Instagram video.
"She has been showing the ring off to friends and family and is very happy," a source told US Weekly at the time. "She wants to... enjoy it and celebrate for a big longer."
This is the second engagement for Rowland, who was previously engaged to football player Roy Williams.
Rowland's relationship news comes at a busy time for her. After dropping the album Talk a Good Game earlier this year, then she joined "X Factor" as a judge, which wraps up its third season on Thursday night. She also recently reunited with her D.C. groupmates in the video for Beyonce's "Superpower.
