Whitney Houston's story is coming to a small screen near you.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the TV movie, titled Whitney Houston, will chronicle the late singer's relationship with ex-husband Bobby Brown, from their first meeting to their tumultuous divorce.
The film, which is set to air Lifetime in 2015, will be directed by actress Angela Bassett. The movie will mark Bassett's directorial debut.
"I have such regard for both Whitney's and Bobby's amazing talents and accomplishments, and I eel a responsibility in the telling of their story," Bassett said in a statement. "Their humanity and bond fascinates us all. I'm beyond excited to have this opportunity to go behind the camera and into their world."
After Houston passing in 2012, Lifetime aired a 14-episode documentary series called, The Houstons: On Our Own, which followed the singer's family members including daughter, Bobbi Kristina, as they dealt with her untimely death.
