LANGSTON, OK - During the summer of 2014, the HBCU Campaign Founder announced that Langston University located in Langston, Oklahoma will join the list of twelve HBCUs that the HBCU Campaign organization celebrates yearly.
Langston University was establish on March 12, 1897 and is a public Historically Black College and University. The institution was named after John Mercer Langston (1829-1897), who was a civil right pioneer and the first African American member of the Congress from Virginia. He is also the founder of the Howard University Law School.
All January long, Langston University will be celebrated through social media to bring awareness to not just the institution but Historically Black Colleges and Universities as a whole.
The HBCU Campaign also campaign for donates in initiative of our 'HBCU of the Month' program and our fund entitle #KeepHBCUsAlive. All contributions and proceed collected during the month of January 2015 goes to the institution.
