An young man named Michael Haynes was set to leave his home in Chicago's Morgan Park neighborhood next week for Iona College in New York, where he was planned to play Division I basketball which was his dream. But what happen?

His dream was ended short this past Thursday, when Haynes, 22, was fatally shot Thursday afternoon while trying to stop a fight over a necklace not far from his South Side home. Haynes was struck in the wrist and back. It was one of five fatal shootings in the city over an especially violent 12 hours that stretched into Friday.

"That was his way out of here," Haynes' uncle, Marvin Kimbrough, 52, said as he fought back tears. "Not just him, but for his brothers too."

As a freshman in 2005-2006, he led Corliss High School with 20 points per game, then switched for the next two years to Washington High School. Haynes became a must-watch athlete during his sophomore and junior years at Chicago's Washington High. During that time, he played in the city championship game against Simeon High School and Derrick Rose at the United Center. Haynes transferred to Fenger High School for his senior year where he did not play basketball.

"It is a big loss for the basketball family. You never know where it could have taken him. He had great potential. I don't know if he was going to the NBA, but he had the potential," said former coach Steve Dockery. "He just wanted to find himself, get a good fit and see what he wanted to do. He wanted to be successful."

Haynes was also a mentor to young athletes in Morgan Park.

Haynes, who was 6 feet 7 inches tall, attended Washington High School and graduated from Fenger High School. He attended the University of Texas at El Paso but left there to play basketball at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa, said his cousin, Kandice Blouin. He played well enough last season at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa, to earn his D-1 ride to Iona College in New Rochelle New York.

From there he was recruited by Iona in New Rochelle, N.Y.

"The Iona family is devastated with the news on Michael's passing," said Iona head coach Tim Cluess. "His passion, energy and excitement for his opportunity this year makes this tragedy even more upsetting. Our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers are with his family."

The actor who know for playing George Jefferson role in the TV series "The Jeffersons" has died. He was 74.

The cause of Hemsley's death is unclear and according to TMZ, they have reported that the actor passed away at his El Paso, Texas home. Hemsley made his name as George Jefferson, carrying the iconic sitcom for a decade. The actor went on to appear in other handful of classic television shows including "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and "The Hughleys." Hemsley was also an accomplished singer and recorded the 1989 single, "Ain't That a Kick in the Head."

Hemsley had no wife or kids.

Yesterday, Maybach Music Group Rapper Rick Ross premiere a new single entitle "Hold Me Back" from his forthcoming album "God Forgives, I Don't," expected to be released July 31st.

  Wow! Did you expect this one. It has be a wonderful and excellent year for the singer Adele and life is about going to even get more exciting as the singer announced that she and her boyfirend Simon Konecki are expecting their first child together.

The 24 year old British singer made the anouncement on her website on Friday:

Did you hear about the Drake and Chris Brown club brawl??? Well, After Drake and Chris Brown issued statements about their involvement in last Thursday's brawl at a New York City nightclub, more victims in the bottle-throwing fight have come forward.

According to the New York Daily News, Lucky Pavlovsky, 24, of Hoboken, N.J., might be added to the list. She claims she suffered two gashes on her arm from the melee that required 12 stitches to close. She's planning to make the wrongdoers pay.

My plan is to sue anybody who threw a bottle, anybody who created that dangerous atmosphere, Pavlovsky said through her lawyer Javier Solano.

On Saturday (June 16) 24-year-old Australian woman, Hollie C., showed off the injuries she recieved at the club via Youtube.

The reason why I have 16 stitches on my head, on my face, is because of some stupid famous people having a fight over a girl, she said, referring to reports that the melee broke out because of Rihanna, to whom both Brown and Drake have been romantically linked.

Model Ingrid Gutierrez, who sat at Chris Browns table when bottles flew, offered some insight into the Rihanna theory via her lawyer Sal Strazzullo.

[Ingrid] was with Chris Brown and his entourage just having a good time, Strazzullo told E! News, she was at his tableright next to him when this occurred From what Ive heard from my clientthere was a note. A note passed by Drake to Chris Brown in regards to something with Rihanna.

Strazzullo stopped short of giving details of what was written.

The contents of those notes at this time, Im not going to be able to reveal because I dont know their authenticity.

Last week a rep for the NYC police department confirmed to CBS Local according to them that the altercation occurred at around 4:00 a.m. at 34 Vandam street (club W.i.P.). There were five people injured, one male and four females. All suffered non life-threatening lacerations.

While police say they responded to a 9-1-1 call about a disorderly group, other reports have identified the group as entourages of Brown and Drake, who allegedly got into an altercation at the club.

It was like a war zone, Solano said, speaking for his client Lucy Pavlovsky. You had guys there 300 pounds, 6-foot-5, throwing these bottles as hard as they can.

The fight happen last week on June 14th where punches and bottles were thrown last night at a New York City nightclub where the entourages of Chris Brown and Drake reportedly clashed. The after-hours melee left Brown with a deep gash on his chin and five other people injured.

A source in the NYPD has confirmed to TMZ that the music stars crews did get into a fight at the Manhattan hotspot WIP. Police received a 911 call about the clash after 4 a.m., but when they arrived neither Breezy nor Drizzy was present on the scene.

Along with Drake, other celebrities at the party included Ne-Yo, Wale, French Montana, Trey Songz, Meek Mill and Teyana Taylor.

Brown tweeted a picture of his injury following the scuffle, along with a message calling out his combatant.

No arrests were made at the scene.

 Our Founder/Creator of D.J's Music Site has announced his new search in attending and pursuing his education somewhere else after a couple of incidents happen last school year at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff including the departure of the Chancellor who was there for 20 years. DJ has interest somewhere else but don't know yet, he has recently visit a school in Chicago, Illinois called East-West University and looking into closer HBCU's near home such as Kentucky State and Lincoln in St. Louis. He will also be looking into Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois and Chicago State University in Chicago, Illinois. He has not fully made his mind on leaving UAPB but he has comment on his departure consideration.

"I feel that something is telling me that it's time to departure after two years. Last year was nothing but hell and I feel that I was back stabbed a lot by not just only people who I called friends but administration as well. I don't think I paid tuition to go thru stress like this. And I never went thru nothing like this in all of my years being in school NOT even back at home. It like I was being treated me like I'm such a bad person and all I did was try to promote UAPB to the top. I am entitle to my opinion even on my Twitter the University doesn't paid for it so they can't control what I can say, they only paid me for the job I did at the dorm as a student. When they start paying Twitter for my account then they can control what I can say. Throughout the year, people try to bring me down and all I tried to do is go to school, help people and be active on campus. I could not even do that. They was audit and had to fired four employee, which I feel was not my problem but the students took it out of portion. I also felt that student don't have voice at that school but yet paying tuition and the dorms are horrible. They were also secretive about everything. So why should I go back, get treated bad for two - three more years and paid tuition. Plus I was put in a major that they just struck me in, even thought I didn't decided of my major as undecided. To mean students are the MAIN priority, alumni are to but they are not attending the school anymore. With no students attending and paying tuition, where would the administer and instructor be today?? with no job right?. It was all about money. So I leaning towards pursuing my education some where else, if I have to go back to UAPB, I go back but I not giving up my energy and time representing the University. They lost all my pride I had for that school. Thank you for letting have a future at your University, I really appreciate because throughout all of bad there were good moments that I probably would had never experience. I also wish UAPB the best endeavors with the new Interim Chancellor and the new administration place in the places for replacement."

D.J also states that It is NOT a bad school at all but it just need a lot and a lot more improvements. So if you are incoming freshmen go for it and strive for the best at UAPB. Graduate and have jobs line up for you for after you graduate. You might like it more then the next people who might not like it at all.

Last school year at UAPB, D.J. was a Student Coordinator at the Harrold Complex Dorm, Administrative Assistant to the SGA Present - Kent J Broughton and a member of the Sunshine Club of the Harrold Complex, which he won Mr. Copeland Hall and particpated in Miss. UAPB Coronation Ball 2012 as Mr. Copeland of the Sunshine Club. This will/would be D.J. third year at UAPB/in college. U of A audit revealed about $736,000 was unaccounted for at one of the campuses dormitories named the Harrold Complex Living and Learning Center. As a result, the audit fired four people in February. One was the Chancellor's Secretary. The Chancellor, Dr. Lawerence A Davis, Jr was also involved with the audit, the administer was also his assistant. Dr Davis decided to resign and retire from his Chancellor position after 20 years on March 21but the resignation didn't take place until May 25 and then Dr. Calvin Johnson came in as Interim Chancellor until July 1st when he will be replace by placement Chancellor. D.J. was fired in April for a tweet that accidentally tweeted by him on the UAPB SGA Twitter account which was immediately deleted when found but was found and reported a non Harrold Complex student worker who was reportedly behind the work area desk and it was argument behind him and D.J. over a election flyer being moved on the bulletin board at the dorm which also included another employee being fired. D.J. is expected to make up his decided in earlier July before the next school year at most HBCU's.
