Congrats UAPB Golden Lions on Two Wins This Week

Congrats to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) Football and Men's Basketball team on their win this past week. The UAPB Football won this weekend against Texas Southern Tigers (42-6) in their last game, which was also Senior Day and Take A Kid to the Game Day. Senior Stephen Jones taillied 92 yards and two rushing touchdowns as Arkansas-Pine Bluff used a solid running game to defeat Texas Southern. Benjamin Anderson threw two touchdown passes completing a 27-yearder to Rontrell Bailey in the third quarter, and a 57-yarder to T.J. Shelton in the fourth.
Also, congratulations to the UAPB Men's Basketball team as they took a big win tonight vs FIU (Florida International). Top performer tonight for UAPB according to ESPN is M. Anderson with 19 Pts, 7 Reb, 0 Ast, 2 Stl, 0 Blk. Stat Leaders: Pts: 2 tied at 19, Reb: D. Broughton 9, Ast: 2 tied at 3, Stl: S. Townsend 8, Blk: 3 tied at 1. The UAPB Basketball team just came from taking two losses at the NIT Tournament last week against Oklahoma State (73-46) in the opening round and later losing to Oral Roberts (80-44).
We wish the best of luck to the UAPB Womens and Mens Basketball on their 2011-2012 season.

The BIGGEST event in Chicago has been SOLD OUT once again. The B96 Radio presents a JingleBash and a Summerbash and it happens every year around the same date, same time. The bashes is a Concert Festival were different artists and bands perform. This year's B96Radio JingleBash Artist feature Selena Gomez, Enrique Iglesias, Jason Derulo, LMFAO, Cobra Starship, Joe Jonas, Karmin and Keenana Cahill. This festival will happen at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL at 6pm. If you havn't got your tickets to the biggest SOLD OUT event of the year, you can still win tickets from www.b96.com. UAPB Golden & Lady Lions Basketball set to start the season.
UAPB Golden Lions Basketball is set to kick off their season. Their first home game was Thursday, November 3rd vs Philander Smith. The Golden Lions took the advantage to take the Homecoming and first home win in OT with the score of 84-82. Now the Golden Lions and Lady Lions will hit road starting tomorrow. The Lady Lions will travel to San Diego to face San Diego State at 7pm - Mon., Nov. 14th. Then, the Golden Lions will travel to Oklahoma to participate in the Preseason NIT Tournament to play against Oklahoma State at 7pm. The Lady Lions will travel back on the road to play in Memphis this Sat., Nov. 19th - 2pm start. Next away game for the Golden Lions is Mon., Nov. 28th vs Auburn University and the next home game for the Golden Lions and Lady Lions is Sat., Nov. 14th - 7:30p vs Southern University at the H.O. Clemmons Arena on the Campus of Arkansas Pine-Bluff.
Players to look out for is UAPB Guard Savalace Townsard (Senior), Guard Demetrius Smith, Ford Daniel Broughton(Sophomore), Corner Terrel Kennedy (Senior) and the rest the 2011-2012 Golden Lions Roster under the coaching of Coach George Ivory.

UAPB Golden Lions took a win vs MVSU Delta Devils in Their Season Finale.
According to Mississippi Valley State website Mississippi Valley State had one of their best denfensive outings of the season this past Saturday against Arkansas Pine-Bluff, But it still didn't end in the Delta Devils favor.
The Goldens Lions which is (5-5, 4-4 SWAC) used 15 first-half points to take down MVSU which is (1-10, 1-8 SWAC) 15-3 in the season finale for Valley.
Arkansas Pine-Bluff defense forced to big turnovers in the first half leading to UAPB's taking a 15-0 going into intermission. The Golden Lions got on the score board in the first half using Benjamin Anderson 1-yard touchdown run and Stephen Jones punched ten yeards out giving UAPB a 15 point advantage after a successful two point conversion.
"We knew going into the game that we would have to find a way to win on the road," said UAPB head coach Monte Coleman. "Mississippi Valley played hard the entire game and we feel forunate to be able to leave with a much need win."
The Golden Lions is set to return home this Saturday, November 19th, where they will face the Texas Southern Tigers in what will be UAPB's regular season finale. The game will mark Senior Day.
The game has also been announce as "Take a kid to the Game Day." All youth grade levels K-12 will be allowed free admission in the game with a paying adult. kickoff has been slated for 2:30 at Golden Lions Stadium located on the campus of Arkansas Pine-Bluff.

ki Minaj had an embrassing wardrobe malfunction during her GMA Summer Concert Series performance. Her Nip Slip (showing on the left) happen while she was dancing on the TV performance. Now, this week we have another artist who's album is currently hot on the charts just had a similar "nip slip!"
Kelly Rowland, who just released "Here I Am" and is planning on touring with Chris Brown later this year, had an embrassing "nip slip" during a performance in New Jersey. She had a very, let's say "MOTIVATION" outfit and while dancing, the straps on her top slipped off and her boobs were exposed to the entire audiance. Do you think that's embrassing? Lucky it's wasn't premiere on TV. Whew!

The MTVU VMA Tour returns to Six Flags this year with R&B sensation Mike Posner, who will perform each date with Miguel opening. In addition, on July 28th date will also include Chiddy Bang.

Concert promoter Live Nations has announced Monday that rappers Kanye West and Jay-Z will tour today. Kanye West and Jay-Z, whose new collaborative album "Watch the Throne" will be released next month, August 8th. The two rappers will go on a 24-city tour that will kick off in Detroit on September 22. Tickets will go on sale on August 8th, the same day the album is release exclusively via Itunes. Promoter Live Nation has additional incentive for the live show: those who purchase tickets will also get a digital copy of the album, which retails for $11.99. Live Nation did not include the cost of tickets in the press release.
Tickets for the tour will be available for a pre-sale on Thursday on the website www.LiveNation.com/WatchTheThrone. Tickets will go on sale to the general public August 8 at 10am.

Singer Amy Winehouse was found dead this morning in her Camden apartment in North London. Reports from the police doesn't know the caused of death. But they are ruling her death of now as unexplained. Amy was 27. Amy Winehouse became known off her of 2nd Album release "Back to Black" in 2006 with singles "Rehab and "You Know I'm No Good".Posting of fans and celebrities reactions to Amy's death hit Twitter and other social networks this morning.
