Beyonce & Jay Z Touring Together This Summer?

There's rumors that's swirling that the couple will be touring together this summer. According to New York Post's Page Six, Jay and Bey are gearing up to announce a 20-stadium U.S. tour that start in late June. The paper is even reporting that perhaps, maybe, possibly, the couple could perform in New York on the Fourth of July. Will this puts last summers' Jay and Justin Timberlake joint tour to shame? Both Jay and Bey recently finished up extensive tours. Jay finished his 52-date trek in support of his latest album, Magna Carta... Holy Grail in January, while Bey wrapped up her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour just a month ago. Recently, the two have made it a habit of appearing as surprise special guests at each others shows and wowed the crowed with their joint performance of "Drunk In Love" at the GRAMMYs in February. Keep your eyes open for the announcement of the tour and dates! |

Lollapolooza Rumors: Eminem, Skrillex and Kings of Leon Are Among Fest Headliners

 The summer concert, festival season is quickly approaching which means line-up for the summer festivals are being announced including one of the BIGGEST festival, titled Lollapolooza. Lolla is expecting to release their official 2014 line-up next week, but the Chicago Tribune already spoil the beans by reporting that sources have confirmed Eminem, Skrillex, Kings of Leon and Arctic Monkeys are headliners for this year. All four bands have previously played the festival. Eminem headlined Lolla back in 2011 and he released The Marshall Mathers LP 2 in late 2013, featuring the smash hit "The Monster" featuring Rihanna. Last year the 3-day festival drew a capacity audience of 300,000. More headliners and the complete line-up will be announced next week, and tickets go on sale next Tuesday! |

 The Wanted fans are cherishing their tickets for their Word of Mouth Tour. The band as announced on Wednesday that the tour will be their last for a while, in order to take time off to pursue personal endeavors come May.

They released their debut self-titled album in 2010 which was followed by Battleground in 2011 and Word of Mouth in 2013. In a commercial earlier this month (on Jan. 19), CBS announced that Beyonce and Jay Z would be performing at this year's GRAMMYs, airing tomorrow night (Jan. 26). And in hopes to get fans even more excited, the ad promises that their performance will happen within the first hour of the show. Though there has been on official announcement about the duo's upcoming appearance on the broadcast, it's been reported that the two will hit the stage together for a performance of their GRAMMY-nominated duet "Part II (On The Run)" off Jay's album, 'Magna Carta... Holy Grail', along with Bey's song "Drunk In Love."
 Beyonce earned only one nomination this year for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for her duet with Jay -- Her self-titled visual album came out after the nominations were already announced -- but Jay earns the title of the most nominated artist of 2014 with nine noms, including Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Album and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, where he's nominated with both Beyonce and Justin Timberlake for their song "Holy Grail." GRAMMY Nominees 2014: The Full List Also music's biggest night is a night of reunions and returns, as Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, two members from the band The Beatles will perform together that night. Shakira and Rihanna Team Up For New Single, "Can't Remember To Forget"

Shakira hips are rested after she admitted that they DON'T lie! Her and Rihanna have collaborated on a new track titled "Can't Remember to Forget," slated for release next week. Pitbull mentioned the news last month that the two singers were working together, but neither Shakira or Rihanna confirmed it, even after a 30-second snippet of the song leaked in December. Prompted by a fan tweet, Rihanna finally took to Twitter yesterday (Jan. 6) to let fans know the song will be released next Monday. The song is expected to serve as the first single off Shakira's new forthcoming album out this spring, her follow-up to 2010's Sale El Sol.
Last Month, Shakira took to Twitter to let fans know she just finished the music video for her first single with director Joseph Kahn. Shakira isn't the onlyone working on new music, though. Rih Rih will also be headed to the studio with DJ Mustard. In an interview with MTV, the DJ confirmed the news. "I'm finna go in [the studio] with Rihanna," he said. "I'm just doing what I think she would like, and if she don't like it, we'll just figure out something else in the studio, and I'll just keep making beats till we figure it out."

Kanye West Extends 'Yeezus' Tour Into 2014

The rapper announced last night (Jan. 6) that he will be extending the Yeezus Tour, his first solo tour in five years. Kanye will kick off the second leg of his North American trek on February 13 in University Park, PA with nine additional stops throughout the month in Atlantic City, Baltimore and Albany, New York. Though Kendrick Lamar opened during the first half of the tour, 'Ye has yet to announce an opening act for these upcoming dates. On the last stop in Toronto of the first leg of Ye's Yeezus North American tour, he performed "Forever" and surprises the crowd by bringing out the very own OVO rapper Drake. Drake also performed "All Me". Watch it below. According to source, Kanye's tour became known for its nightly rants, but in Toronto last month, on the presumed last date of the tour, Kanye delivered an epic two-part 27-minute-tour-ending rant where he declared that it was the rant to end all rants: "This is the last time you'll hear me say anything negative about anyone."

Rick Ross Files Lawsuit Against LMFAO Over 'Party Rock Anthem'

According to source; the "So Sophisticated" rapper Rick Ross is filing a suit against pop-EDM duo LMFAO over the refrain "Everyday I'm Shufflin'" from the bands 2011 smash, "Party Rock Anthem." The suit alleges that the phrase was lifted from Ross' 2006 debut single, "Husltin'," which refrain, "Everyday I'm hustlin." According to The Hollywood Reporter, the lawsuit, which was filed in Florida federal court, reads in part: The use of Hustlin' in Party Rock Anthem is readily apparent, despite the slight change from "Everyday I'm hustlin'..." to "Everyday I'm shufflin'..." and constitutes, inter alia, the creation of an unauthorized derivative work. The suit also cites the song's fortune outside of just record sales (7.5 million copies and counting), referring to the numerous and lucrative licensing opportunities Party Rock Anthem generated in everything from TV shows to video games to airline commercials. The phrase is so important to the success of Party Rock Anthem, that LMFAO launched a highly successful clothing line, Party Rock Clothing, that features the phrase on T-shirts and other clothing items, the lawsuit continued. LMFAO has yet to respond to the suit, with members Redfoo and Sky Blu still on self-imposed hiatus and working on solo projects. Britney Spears Runs Across Wardrobe Malfunction In Vegas Show

What a start and a welcome to Vegas Residency for Britney Spears as she as already had a wardrobe malfunction. Spears has just begun a two-year Las Vegas residency with her "Piece of Me" show at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The opening night was attended by many stars which included Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and Mario Lopez. Spears was recently criticized for lip-syncing during performances, but many reviewers say that the show is still a success. Spears was performing 'Circus' on her second night in Planet Hollywood with the zipper on the back of her dress opened up. exposing her entire back. The embarrassing moment was captured on video by one inspired fan and put on Instagram. To watch the video; check it out here. But the fierce "It's Britney B---h" that we all know her to be, the songstress quickly recovered from it. In fact, despite the mishap, Spears continued with her routine until one of hr backup dancers noticed the problem and was able to rush and zip her back up. Or at tried to, without any interruptions. We glad it was fixed and was not worse then what it was. Casino executives say the residency may be extended past its two-year slot if it is successful.

Fresh Prince James Avery Known as 'Uncle Phil' Dies

Sad news hit as James Avery, who was best known as 'Uncle Phil' from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air passed away last night on New Year's Eve. Avery was 65 and passed away at a hospital in L.A. from complications to open heart surgery he recently had. Avery's onscreen son Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton, from Fresh Prince) took to Twitter to address the loss: In his 30 year career, some other shows he appeared on were: "Grey's Anatomy" and "The Jeffersons." He was also the voice of Shredder, on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'. We will be missed dearly Uncle Phil. The D.J's Music Site staff send our condolences to his family and friends. May you RIP! |

With weeks after it was rumored that the former Destiny's Child singer was engaged to her manager, Tim Witherspoon, Rowland confirmed the news during a visit to Queen Latifah's talk show on yesterday (Dec. 17th). "He put a ring on it," Rowland revealed before flashing the sparkling ring in the episode which aired on Wednesday. "Yes, it's official." "It's been a while. while doing an interview on Tuesday, Bieber had an interesting answer when questioned about if a new album was coming. The DJ asked, "The new album, man. What's up with the new album? Give me names, give me dates." Bieber responded in a deep raspy voice, "This new album, I'm actually retiring man. I'm retiring. I'm just going to take some time. I think I'm probably going to quit music." Did you think Bieber going to really quit music? Because every artist that says that don't ACTUALLY quit music, they return in the long run. Beyonce New Album Gets Surprise Itunes Release

Shortly after Midnight on Friday (December 13), Beyonce released her fifth album exclusively to Itunes with no fair warnings. The self-titled set is comprised of 14 songs and 17 videos, with all components available only through full album purchase. There are familiar collaborators and friends present on Beyonce, including hubby Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, Drake and even baby girl Blue Ivy.
"I didn't want to release my music the way I've done it," Knowles said in a press release issued shortly after the album appeared on iTunes. "I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There's so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn't want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it's ready and from me to my fans." Not only is the emphasis on the full-length format (Bey calls it a "visual album"), there have been no singles from Beyonce released. The new songs Bey previewed throughout 2013 in Pepsi and H&M ads, online and even on her tour - "Grown Woman," "Standing on the Sun," "Grown Woman/I been On" and "God Made You Beautiful" -- are not even on the album. Billboard reports that "XO," co-written by Ryan Tedder and The-Dream, is the rumored lead single, though no announcement of any sort have been made by Bey or her label, Columbia Records. The label specially stayed mum when specifically asked about Bey's album back back in October, but mentioned that there would be big Columbia releases coming this December. It sounded like an odd way to phrase it at the time, but knowing what we know now about the visual emphasis on Beyonce, it makes more sense.
