- Pine Bluff, Ark. - As it come unpon for re-election all over the United States, it is time to vote unpon a new Mayor of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and to get you involved the Student Government Association (SGA) at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will host a Mayoral Forum. The Mayoral Forum will happen Tuesday, September 18th at 6:30p.m. in the Hathaway-Howards Fine Arts Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
"The goal of the event is to increase awareness and understanding of the political process. We wanted to get involved in the effort to rebuild Pine Bluff and Jefferson County," said Carlton Brewer, SGA Vice President.
Each candidate will be present to discuss their platforms, including former SGA President Kent Broughton. Kent Broughton was Vice President of UAPB SGA 2010-2011 and President of UAPB SGA 2011-2012. He will be running against at least 8 other candidates for Mayor of Pine Bluff.
