More than thirty students at a high school in California were recently suspended after they allegedly filmed and produced a twerk video with the school equipment.

The school, Scripps Ranch High School, has suspended the students for 5 days for violating the school's sexual harassment policy. Suspended seniors also risk not being able to attend prom and graduation.

NBC San Deigo reports that are arguing that the punishment was unfair and that the incident should had been used "as a teaching moment to remind students that when a person is videotaped, he/she never knows where it's going to go."
