Mariah Carey Pushes Back Album Release Date

The Emancipation of Mimi is changing up the game on the album release date. Mariah Carey has announced on Twitter to her fans that she will be delaying her upcoming album, which was set for release on July 23.

While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don't feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23.

The former American Idol judge shared. She also added:

I'd rather not exclude meaningful songs. I want to give you this album as it's meant to be heard.When I'm ready, you'll be the first 2 know!

Mariah has an been schedule up ahead for her as well, as she will be performing at the 2013 BET's Awards this Sunday, then she will also be performing at the Macy's 4th of July Firworks Spectacular (taping this Friday on June 27) in New Jersey. You can get FREE tickets to see Mariah at the Fireworks Spectacular here. It also has been recently announced that Mariah will be performing at the 2013 MLB All-Star Charity Concert held at Central Park on Saturday, July 13.
