D.J's Music Site staff was out of office this weekend to work a series of concerts which kick-off Friday at Chicago's Cubs Wrigley Field with 'An Evening With Pearl Jam'.
Thousand came out to the SOLD-OUT concert at the Cubs Wrigley Field which ended up not starting on time. Concert was schedule to start at 7:30pm which didn't start until at least 8:30pm and Pearl Jam played seven songs before lead Eddie Vedder told the crowd they were going to take a break because of bad weather heading their way just before 9 pm CT.
Vedder, who is a diehard Cubs fan who grew up in the suburbs of Evantson, said it would be about a half hour. Fans were cleared from the field into sheltered areas and some left the ballpark. Thanks to mother nature, it turned out the rain caused a delay up to three hours.
WGN and Fox News came out the interview concert goers while they were on standby during the rain delay.
Since the rain delayed the concert after the group curfew, Vedder and the group decided to played the fine and continue to give the SOLD-OUT crowd an full show, which ended around 2 a.m. The group ended tweeted that they would continue the concert via their official tweeter page.
We have been advised to wait until a second weather cell passes. We intend to provide you w/ a full show tonight. #PJWrigley
