As we go deeper into the month of August, the 2014 MTV VMAs is quickly approahing... like TWO weeks away. That night is planning to be Queen B's night as she is set to perform and also receive the MTV's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which honors an artists body of work. Bey, will join past winners Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Beastie Boys, Madonna and, Michael Jackson, for whom the award was renamed in 1991.
The Queen is the most nominated artist this year, with eight nominations. Bey's nominations includes Video of the Year for "Drunk In Love," Best Female, Best Collaboration, Best Video With a Social Message, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Choreography and Best Direction.
Since Destiny's Child days, the Queen has took home 11 VMA trophies, including Video of the Year for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it)" in 2009 and Best Female for "Crazy in Love," an duet with her husband, Jay Z, in 2007.
The MTV Awards is expected to be broadcast live from the Forum in Inglewood, California at 9pm EST on August 24th.
Other artists with multiple VMA nominations this year include Eminem and Iggy Azalea, who are both up for seven VMA "Moonman" awards. Jay Z, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, Ariana Grande, Lorde, Sam Smith, Sia, Avicii are all also nominated in multiple categories.
