As the 2014 year comes to an close, it has come to the time to re-select a new round schools to be a part of the HBCU Campaign's 'HBCU of the Month' initiative program for 2015.
Back in August, the HBCU Campaign Founder Demetrius Johnson Jr., announced five HBCUs that was pre-selected to be apart of our 'HBCU of the Month' initiative in 2015.
The five HBCUs that were announced were Grambling State University, North Carolina A&T State University, Langston University, Bethune-Cookman University and Wiley College.
This past week, the announcement came of the seven HBCUs that will join those five to be celebrated in 2015. Those HBCUs were voted by the audience in the HBCU Campaign's 1st Annual Initiative Achievement Online Awards presented by the 'HBCU of the Month' initiative committee team.
The voted schools are:
Tuskegee University
Livingstone College
Philander Smith College
Elizabeth City State University
Harris-Stowe State University
Central State University
Virginia Union University
During the HBCU Campaign's "HBCU of the Month" initiative, the HBCU selected is celebrated through it's history, faculty and staff member as well as students and the student leaders who attend.
The HBCU Campaign also go out and campaign contributions which goes to their 'HBCU of the Month' to help the school's budget to help improve their campus such as organizations and campus beautification. Scholarship funds is also campaigned for during the 'HBCU of the Month' initiative to provide to an student in need.
