For the first time, we present Student Profile of students currently attending our current School of the month. Our first student profile we spotlight Brittney Jones who attends Langston University.
Student Profile:
Brittney Jones - Sophomore - Nursing Major
Brittney Jones was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and spent most of her life there. She is a music and book junkie. Beside cooking she loves to volunteer.
Brittney have experienced a lot at Langston. Competing in pageants was a first for her. She competed in Miss Orange and Blue when she first came to Langston. She also competed in the Miss Beta Epsilon Pageant and won. She had the chance to become an Ambassador, one of the best choices that she have ever made. Everything she have done at Langston has helped her grow as a person.
In all honesty Langston University wasn't Brittney choice of schools simply because it was so close to home. After high school she took a year off before going to school. During that break, she looked at more schools and some teachers at her old high school told her to look at Langston University. She apparently did and started to imagine herself there. She's glad she applied at Langston and was accepted, because her high school GPA wasn't good and that Langston University gave her a chance.
Brittney love Langston because of the opportunity they gave her to attend college. She also love Langston because of the people there, they are not afraid to push her to expand her comfort zone. She know that people care about her doing good and if she needs help.
After she receives her undergraduate degree she plans on obtaining Doctoral of Physical Therapy degree to work with veterans, handicap children, and student athletes.
