The annual MEAC/SWAC Challenge which is presented by Disney and hosted in Orlando, Florida has been OFFICIALLY set.
It has been questionable in the last year on which SWAC team would participate in the MEAC/SWAC challenge this year, the ups were between Southern University and Jackson State University but that has scratch and the Golden Lions of Arkansas-Pine Bluff has been entered for the Southwestern Athletic Conference for the first time.
For many years, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference have dominated the challenge for over the past decade. Will the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions be ready for the challenge? Since the MEAC has a 8-2 all-time record in the series, with four straight wins since 2011.
With many challenges the Golden Lion football have faced since winning the SWAC championship in 2012, including finishing last place in 2014. We hoping that their luck will reverse and represent the SWAC well this year.
The team that the Golden Lions will be facing was revealed as well as the team's 2015 football schedule. The Lions go on to Orlando to face the Bulldogs of South Carolina State University. S.C. State University will make their third appearance in the game.
The Bulldogs won their first MEAC/SWAC Challenge in 2005 with a 27-14 over Alabama State University and won again in 2014 with a score of 34-31 over Grambling State University.
The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions is scheduled to play the S.C. State University Bulldogs on Setp. 5 in Orlando, Fla.
Will you be ready to travel to the HBCU Campaign team to Orlando this September??
